unit 7 blog

The meditation for this week brought me to a peaceful place. I had to think of a person in my life who I honor and someone who is wise. I connect with this person in my meditation and then I pick up who they are in this calm and relaxed state of mind. Kindness, love, and compassion is to be brought in while I am purified. Mindfulness meditation can increase psychological or spiritual wellness because one learns to become a person that we would like to be. I can continue to practice this when I feel like I need a break to experience myself as a wise person for just a moment.
To me the saying "One can not lead another where one has not gone himself" is like saying that a person can not experience something or know what something is really like until they have actually experienced it for themselves. I think that I should be able to help my clients to grow spiritually but it is up to them to try and experience the wellness.
